Top Picks

1. Carolina Panthers (-3) vs. Buf – The Panthers are improved both offensively and defensively. Buffalo played well in Week 1 vs. the Pats but opening week is always unpredictable. Carolina will cover the spread and win by a TD on the road.

Next

2. St. Louis Rams (+7) vs. Atl – The Rams are more talented than a year ago and have more weapons for QB Sam Bradford to work with. They’ll head into Atlanta and not only cover, but have a good chance to steal one on the road.

3. Cincinnati Bengals (-7) vs. Pit – Pittsburgh lost their best O-Lineman (C Maurkice Pouncey) and a few other key players for the season in Week 1. It’s not their year, and won’t be their night on Monday. Look for the Bengals to show who is the top dawg in the AFC North.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+4) vs. NO – See money line bet.

Rounding things out

Cleveland Browns (+7) vs. Bal – The Ravens are likely to win, but it won’t be by much. Expect a low scoring affair making the under (o/u 43.5) a good bet too.

Green Bay Packers (-7.5) vs. Was – The Packers D is improved vs. the run and their offense can still score at will. Look for a 10 point win to send the Skins to 0-2.

Seattle Seahawks (-2.5) vs SF – The Seahawks are still a bit banged up but getting healthier. They have quite possibly the biggest home field advantage and that will be enough to get Seattle the FG win at home.

Money Line Bet

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+157) vs. NO – The media is back on the Saints bandwagon, but their D is not nearly as good as it looked vs the Falcons. There are still plenty of holes in that defense. Tampa is not very good either, but this is their home opener and they’ll be fired up. Look for Tampa to pull out the FG victory.
