1. Adrian Peterson vs. St. Louis Rams

Peterson’s a 150 yard candidate against the lowly St. Louis Rams this Sunday.  The Rams, 0-4, are coming off a 35-0 whipping at the hands of the 49ers, and the Vikings should jump to an early lead and then ride their running game to kill the clock.  Our top fantasy football running back this week will find the end zone twice too.

2. Brandon Jacobs vs. Oakland Raiders

Once the Giants put this game away, which should be sometime in the middle of the first half, expect OC Kevin Gilbride to run the ball about 80% of the time. Jacobs should get a majority of those carries (Bradshaw has an ankle sprain) and we like for the 265 lb back to eclipse the 100 yard mark for the first time this season with two TDs.

3. Brian Westbrook vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers are horrible on defense and have been eaten alive on the ground to start the season. If Westbrook is indeed healthy, look for No. 36 to have his first 100 yard game of 2009 and score a few TDs in what should be a rout by the Eagles on Sunday.

4. Maurice Jones-Drew vs. Seattle Seahawks

Jones-Drew was limited to just six carries on Sunday as HC Jack Del Rio opted to keep his star back fresh once the game got out of hand. Look for Jacksonville to run the ball a lot in this one and for MJD to top the 100 yard mark with a TD.

Sleepers

1. Rashard Mendenhall vs. Detroit Lions

Mendenhall had his coming out party against the Chargers in Week Four (165 yards, two TDs) and now gets another favorable match-up at the Lions. Look for Pittsburgh to once again pound the rock with Mendenhall and for our Week Five fantasy sleeper to have another big day at the office.

2. Fred Taylor vs. Denver Broncos

The Broncos quick start (defensively) has been at the expense of inferior competition and a Cowboys team searching for an identity. But Dallas ran the ball well in the loss. Look for New England to get back to its running game and for Taylor to do most of the damage on Sunday.

Others We Like

Larry Johnson vs. Dallas Cowboys

Johnson ran the ball with authority against the Giants and nearly broke a few long ones. His young line appears to be coming together and the Cowboys defense can be run on.

Chris Johnson vs. Indianapolis Colts

If the Colts jump out to a big lead, all bets are off.  So look for Tennessee to try and get its best player the ball early on to control the clock against the S Bob Sanders-less defense.

Ray Rice vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Rice ran with authority vs. the Patriots and amassed 150 total yards on limited touches. Expect the Ravens to place more of an emphasis on the ground game this Sunday and for Rice to respond vs. the Bengals.

A Few More

Thomas Jones vs. Miami Dolphins

DeAngelo Williams vs. Washington Redskins

Marion Barber vs. Kansas City Chiefs
