Best Bet

1. Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5) vs. Denver Broncos – The Broncos ran up the score on Kansas City in their Week 10 meeting (49-29). Todd Haley felt slighted and will surely return the favor when the lowly 3-8 Broncos head to Arrowhead this Sunday. Look for Matt Cassel and Co. to pour it on and a 40 – 17 type outcome.

Next In Line

2. Green Bay Packers (-9.5) vs. San Francisco 49ers – The 49ers don’t travel well and this week the Niners don’t get to play the Cardinals. They get the Packers on their home turf.  Mike McCarthy will easily out coach Mike Singletary and the Packers, the more talented team of the two, will win going away. This has the look of a 30-10 type finish.

3. New York Jets (+3.5) vs. New England Patriots – See Money Line Bet.

4. San Diego Chargers (-13) vs. Oakland Raiders – The Chargers are on a roll and back at home, where they dominate in December.  The Raiders will be starting Jason Campbell at QB but he’ll be overwhelmed at Qualcomm.  Look for the Chargers defense to force turnovers and generate multiple sacks on Sunday. On the other side of the ball, expect Phillip Rivers and Co. to put up 30 on the Black and Silver.

Rounding Out the List

Baltimore Ravens  (-3) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers – The Ravens are relatively healthy and playing this at home. The three point betting line suggests this game is pretty even, but we see the Ravens, feeding off the home crowd, pulling out a victory by at least four points. Look for a 17-13 finish.

Detroit Lions (+5) vs. Chicago Bears – This has the look and feel of a trap game with the Patriots on the Bears schedule next week. Look for the Lions, who are very competitive at home, to keep this close until the end. They may even steal it.

Miami Dolphins (-5) vs. Cleveland Browns – The Browns have been very competitive of late, but heading to South Beach will be difficult. The Dolphins are tough in their own backyard and Chad Henne’s return a week ago provided a nice spark to the team. Look for a win by a TD.

Money Line Bet

New York Jets (+170) vs. New England Patriots

The Jets have been winning by the thinnest of margins recently (aside from Thanksgiving night) but will be ready this Monday Night. Their style of defense matches up well and has always been effective against Tom Brady.

The emergence of the Mark Sanchez/ Santonio Holmes duo has opened everything up for the offense, and the Patriots bring the last ranked pass defense into this game.  So look for the Jets passing game to find a lot of success on Monday Night which will open up holes for the running game.

When it’s all said and done, we expect a hard fought battle which the Jets pull out 24-21 in Foxboro, thus moving into first place all alone in the AFC East.
