1. Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns
The Browns were held to six points on 23 passing yards against the Bills on Sunday. And yet in spite of this horrific showing, they were still able to win. If they score three points on the Steelers this Sunday, we’d be surprised. Look for a five sack, three turnover performance, with at least one score by the top ranked fantasy football D/ST in Week Six.
2. New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills
The Jets are coming off a horrible defensive effort on Monday Night as they surrendered 31 points to the Dolphins. Expect a significant bounce back when the lowly Bills come to town this week. Rex Ryan’s bunch will force multiple turnovers and sack Edwards a handful of times. Things could get real ugly at the Meadowlands.
3. Philadelphia Eagles vs. Oakland Raiders
The Eagles are definitely not as dominant as they were under DC Jim Johnson in 2008, but they’re still good enough to stifle the anemic Raiders. In fact, facing Jamarcus Russell and Co., you can expect the Eagles to hold them to under 10 points.
4. Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions
The Lions will most likely have Daunte Culpepper behind center in this one. With the Packers rested and coming off their bye, and Calvin Johnson’s status uncertain (knee injury), expect a big time performance by the D/ST unit after a poor showing vs. the Vikings in Week Four.
Sleepers
1. Jacksonville Jaguars vs. St. Louis Rams
The Rams have a tendency to make anyone look good on the road. St. Louis has scored a total of seven points in three games away from home. The Jags were embarrassed in Seattle and will have an opportunity to shake off that performance with a top effort on Sunday. They’re our top fantasy sleeper in Week Six.
2. Cincinnati Bengals vs. Houston Texans
The Bengals defense played a tremendous game against the high powered Ravens limiting Baltimore to just one offensive TD on Sunday. They’ll have a chance to follow that effort up with another solid game against the Texans and the Bengals secondary is playing extremely well right now.
Others We Like
New York Giants vs. New Orleans Saints
The Giants have the top rated defense and are consistently pressuring opposing QBs. The Saints, while high powered, are a finesse team, and won’t like getting hit in the mouth on Sunday. Expect a big effort by the G Men in New Orleans.
Washington Redskins vs. Kansas City Chiefs
The Redskins problems are on the offensive side of the ball, not defense. And this week, they have an easy match-up against the inconsistent Chiefs. Expect a strong showing with a few sacks of Matt Cassel and a turnover or two.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Ravens defense will be fired up after their last second loss to the Bengals on Sunday. Expect them to take Adrian Peterson out of the game and force Brett Favre into multiple poor decisions and mistakes.
