1. QB Kurt Warner vs. Seattle Seahawks
Kurt Warner is coming off a five TD performance in a game that Anquan Boldin didn’t even play. The team wisely moved Larry Fitzgerald around and Warner capitalized on the mismatches this presented for the Bears DBs. This week they’ll have Boldin back and are facing a struggling Seahawks defense and secondary. Look for a huge game in the desert.
2. RB Chris Johnson vs. Buffalo Bills
In Week Six, the Bills surrendered over 300 rushing yards to the Jets. Then, in their game against Houston two weeks ago, Ryan Moats came off the bench and torched them for 126 yards and a few scores. This week, they get the hottest RB in the league. Chris Johnson has totaled 363 yards and four TDs in his past two games and could reach 200 yards and a few scores in this one.
3. WR Miles Austin vs. Green Bay Packers
The Packers defense surrendered four TDs to Brett Favre two weeks ago and another three last week to Josh Freeman. Freeman by the way was making his first career start. Austin’s clearly emerged as Romo’s No. 1 option and he’ll top the 100 yard mark with another TD in Lambeau.
Fantasy Busts
1. QB Matt Ryan vs. Carolina Panthers
Ryan’s numbers have been serviceable over the past few games but the Falcons have relied on Michael Turner to carry them offensively. That trend will continue this week. The Panthers are No. 5 against the pass and will lock down Roddy White and Co. throughout the afternoon.
2. RB Ryan Grant vs. Dallas Cowboys
The Packers offense line is in shambles and the Cowboys defense is eleventh against the run and getting better statistically each week. Look for Grant to find little running room all afternoon as he’s swallowed up by DT Jay Ratliff, DE/LB DeMarcus Ware and the rest of the Cowboys front seven.
3. WR Mike Sims-Walker vs. New York Jets
Sims-Walker has a few things going against him here: first, David Garrard has been horrible on the road in his last two starts (0 TDs); second, the Jets will line up star CB Darrelle Revis to his side and the shut down corner will stifle him all day long. It’d be a prudent move to look elsewhere on your fantasy roster this week.
