1. San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks – This is a no-brainer. The Seahawks are undergoing a transformation of their identity under Pete Carroll and will be lucky to win 6 games all year. The Niners on the other hand are favorites to win the NFC West and will be ready to roll on Sunday.
Look for LB Patrick Willis and Co. to overpower the Seahawks offense and keep them to 14 points or less. The Niners offense, led by RB Frank Gore, will put up 24 and cruise to an easy victory in Seattle.
2. Arizona Cardinals vs. St. Louis Rams – The Rams are going to be very bad this year, especially on offense. RB Steven Jackson is the only player defenses need to worry about and Arizona is good at taking away the opposing team’s running game. On offense, RB Beanie Wells and RB Tim Hightower will lead the charge and Arizona will coast to an easy divisional win.
3. Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills – The Bills huge weakness is along the offensive line and Miami will exploit this on Sunday. RB CJ Spiller will be unable to get untracked and QB Trent Edwards will be pressured all afternoon. On offense, Miami will use the run to set up the pass, which could see a big afternoon from new No. 1 WR Brandon Marshall. Look for the Dolphins to win by at least seven.
Top teams that are no sure thing in your Week 1 suicide pool.
New England Patriots – Bengals present a tough matchup.
San Diego Chargers – Chiefs could catch the Chargers sleeping in Kansas City on MNF.
Indianapolis Colts – The Texans always play the Colts tough in Houston.

Yeah, SF probably cost a lot of people their suicide pools in Week 1, with Dallas and Indianapolis right behind.
Is tonight for a suicide pool or with points? We probably wouldn’t touch the NYJ and Balt game but think the Ravens can steal a close, low scoring game, and actually think the Chiefs can surprise tonight at 4.5 underdogs, and even win outright, but we wouldn’t take them in a suicide pool.

Yeah I got burnt on this game too but I put in for two picks so the Titans saved my bacon and this first week knocked out about half of the people in our suicide pool. Any suggestions for week two. I am thinking New Orleans or Atlanta.

Atlanta yes. Be careful for New Orleans. While it would appear to be a gimme game, the NFL is strange. We think the Niners will actually rise up and give the Saints a run for their money. So of the two, the Falcons are the easy choice.
