1. Antonio Gates vs. Tennessee Titans
Gates has been dominating defenses all year and it continued with another TD catch vs. the Bengals on Sunday. The Titans weakness is against opposing passing games and they lost two LB’ers to injury in Week 15. Expect Rivers to locate Gates for another 75 yard plus game with a TD. He’s the top ranked fantasy football TE this week.
2. Vernon Davis vs. Detroit Lions
Davis leads the NFL with 11 TDs and presents a big mismatch in the 49ers favor against the Lions. Look for Smith to target him all day and for Davis to notch his 12th score of the year.
3. Tony Gonzalez vs. Buffalo Bills
The re-insertion of Matt Ryan into the starting lineup did wonders for Tony Gonzalez. He was targeted heavily and scored the GW TD. Expect more of that against an undermanned Bills defense.
4. Brent Celek vs. Denver Broncos
While DeSean Jackson covers the deep passes, Brent Celek covers everything within 20 yards. He’s a nightmare for LB’ers and Safeties, and he’s deadly in the red zone. Look for another score on Sunday.
Sleepers
1. Jermichael Finley vs. Seattle Seahawks
He’s almost to the point of no longer being considered a sleeper. The lanky TE, with exceptional speed and athletic ability, continues to be a favorite of Aaron Rodgers and receive a number of targets all over the field, including the red zone. He’s a great fantasy sleeper in Week 16 and will have another big day.
2. Kevin Boss vs. Carolina Panthers
The Panthers strength lies in stopping opposing team’s wide receivers. This is because their CB play is so good. But there’s opportunities over the middle of the field and that’s exactly where Eli and the Giants will attack them.
Others We Like
Jason Witten vs. Washington Redskins
If the Redskins give the kind of effort they gave Monday Night, Dallas will impose its will offensively on this unit. And that will include a lot of passes to Jason Witten.
Visanthe Schiancoe vs. Chicago Bears
The Vikings recent struggles offensively will mean a return to the safer passing game vs. the Bears. Look for Schiancoe to receive a lot of passes his way and score on at least one of them.
Dallas Clark vs. New York Jets
As mentioned with Collie, due to the blanket coverage Revis should put on Wayne, balls will be thrown elsewhere. Clark will be on the receiving end of at least 10 passes and convert one of those into a TD.
A Few More
John Carlson vs. Green Bay Packers
Heath Miller vs. Baltimore Ravens
Kellen Winslow vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
