It all boils down to this: TO is one of the best receivers to play the game. He is a true gamebreaker, and he has a chance to score evertime the ball is in his hands. When the Cowboys win, it is usually because of TO. When they win, and he doesn't make a significant impact (as far as his own numbers go), you don't hear from him. The problem boils down to when they lose and he doesn't make an impact. He is the kind of player that can change a game, and when they lose and he is not given his opportunity, problems arise. Say all you want about Barber, Witten, Crayton, etc. When you ask any knowledgeable football fan who they want on that team with the game on the line, only one name is uttered: TO. He knows it, and the world knows it. TO wants so badly to win that when they lose, he puts the blame on his shoulders and says with more passes, he will make that play to put them over the top. Say what you want about the guy, but I'll take him any day of the week, and so would you.

You couldn't be more correct, my man. It's sad to see a kid as talented a player as Owens is waste the potential impact he could have on the field for his team. You would think that, having studied at the feet of the master (Jerry Rice), Owens would have learned that team success begets individual success. Hell, like you, I don't begrudge him being a selfish player (Rice wanted the ball thrown to him, too), but he seems to have a fundamental misunderstanding of the role that the team's success can play in his individual success, and vice versa.

You're right, though. His post-loss press conference and complaint sessions are some of the highest comedy in the NFL!
