Top Pick

1. Atlanta Falcons (-2) vs. NO – Don’t let the Saints impressive defensive effort in Week 9 fool you; the Eagles are a mess, especially along the offensive line. The Falcons have no such problems and will put up between 30-40 points on the Saints D this week.

Look for Atlanta to advance to 9-0 and easily cover the point spread.

2. Dallas Cowboys (-1.5) vs. Phi – The Eagles can’t protect Vick and are severely challenged on defense. Even with the myriad of problems still affecting the Cowboys on the offensive side of the ball, their defense will overpower Philly to win by a TD at the Linc.

3. Houston Texans (+1) vs. Chi – The Texans haven’t beaten anyone good this year (the Ravens played them a week after losing two of their top defensive players and LB Suggs wasn’t ready) but the same goes for the Bears. Both team’s losses came at the hands of the Packers. Look for Houston’s D to force Cutler into a few more mistakes on Sunday Night and that will be the difference in this one.

4. Carolina Panthers (+4.5) vs. Den – See money line bet.

The Rest

Oakland Raiders (+7.5) vs. Bal – Let’s just say that Baltimore could be peeking ahead to the Steelers next week. This will be closer than the odds maker’s line suggest.

San Francisco 49ers (-11) vs. Stl – This is in SF, and Sam Bradford is just not ready to compete against a defense of this caliber. The 49ers offense will wear the Rams down in the 4th quarter.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3) vs. SD – The Chargers road woes continue this week.

Money Line Bet

Carolina Panthers (+200) vs. Den – The Broncos enter on a three-game winning streak although two of them were close to the end.  The Panthers have also started to turn things around, most notably on defense, and Cam Newton is playing better as well, although not to last year’s standards.

This game will be close throughout but look for Carolina to pull out the close win at the end.
