1. New Orleans Saints - They showed excellent character in their impressive win over Tampa Bay. The team was coming off a disastrous loss to Arizona in which multiple turnovers spelled doom against the QB Max Hall led Cardinals. This will be a walk in the park. The Browns can’t cover ANYONE and the Saints passing game got back on track a week ago. Look for a 20 point win, handily.
2. Kansas City Chiefs - The Chiefs are coming off two hard fought road losses against the Texans and Colts. Two reasons to expect better things on Sunday: this is at home and the Jaguars are horrible.
They’re coming off a 30-3 thrashing at the hands of the Titans and will struggle mightily on the road against KC. Expect Matt Cassel and Co. to move the ball easily and put 24 points on the board. Defensively, they’ll get after Trent Edwards and force the QB into turnovers.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Tampa showed in its loss to the Saints that its not ready compete with the big boys, but this week’s opponent is not considered a ‘big boy’. It’s the St. Louis Rams who struggle on the road. Look for the game to be close through the half, but the Bucs will pull away late and win by a TD.
Teams that are no sure thing
San Francisco 49ers - The Panthers are coming off their bye week and turning back to Matt Moore. They’re also getting a little healthier on offense.
Denver Broncos – The Raiders have gone into Denver and beat them each of the past two years… and this as large underdogs.
New England Patriots - The Chargers are an entirely different team at home. The cross country trip will be tough on the Patriots.
