Fantasy Booms

1. QB Kurt Warner vs. Detroit Lions

If you give Kurt Warner time, with his cast of skill players (Fitzgerald, Boldin, Breaston), he will absolutely destroy you. And unfortunately for Detroit, they don’t have anything resembling a pass rush, so expect Warner to easily top 300 yards with 3 TDs in a romp on Sunday.

2. RB Ray Rice vs. Chicago Bears

The Bears were run all over by RB Ryan Grant last Sunday to the tune of 137 yards and 2TDs, one of 64 yards. And Grant’s not half the back that Ray Rice has become. Look for Rice to be explosive in both the running game as well as out of the backfield as a receiver and to easily top 150 total yards with multiple TDs.

3. WR DeSean Jackson vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Niners might want to leave a Safety about 50 yards back and on Jackson’s side of the field. Otherwise, they’re playing with fire. Jackson already is among the best of all-time for most long TDs in a season and there’s still three games to play.

Look for McNabb to target No. 10 throughout the afternoon and pop a big play on at least one play action pass.

Fantasy Busts

1. QB Brett Favre vs. Carolina Panthers

While the Panthers have trouble stopping running games, they’re actually one of the better teams at defending the pass. They limited Tom Brady in Week 14 to 192 passing yards with one TD and one pick. Favre’s also facing the prospect of being without WR Percy Harvin again so expect an efficient evening, just not a great fantasy football performance.

2. RB Rashard Mendenhall vs. Green Bay Packers

Mendenhall hasn’t been the problem of late but he faces a tough test here. Dom Capers really has this defense dialed in and they’re doing an excellent job at stopping the run. Look for Capers to continue to mix up his run/pass blitzing schedule and for the Steelers offense to continue it’s five-week funk.

3. WR Roddy White vs. New York Jets

You could probably put every top receiver who plays the Jets on this list because they have the unenviable challenge of facing Darrelle Revis, the best CB in football today. He’s shut down every opposing receiver this year and White, most likely playing with Chris Redman, will be shut down too.
